GBA & City of Greenfield Collaborate to brighten downtown

Greenfield helps GBA light up downtown for the holidays!

Rainbow lights brighten the Common thanks to the City of Greenfield

Members from the City of Greenfield and the Greenfield Business Association met together earlier this year and came up with a new plan for lighting up downtown for the holidays. The GBA was working on ways to change the lighting for the street poles to bring a back traditional decorations. While walking around downtown to look over the poles the idea of lighting the trees on the Common came up. To liven up the traditional white lighting of the poles, the group decided to bring colors to the Common. The Greenfield DWP has been working on the Common lighting for the past few weeks - and they are now lighting our night skies along with 80 poles throughout the downtown area! Sponsorship of poles is still available through the GBA (see the GBA webpage at greenfieldbusiness.org).

Be sure to join city officials and the GBA on Friday, December 6th for Jingle Fest celebrations spread throughout downtown with a kick-off tree-lighting at Veteran's Mall between 4:30-5:00. Look for Jingle Fest announcements on FB, the GBA webpage, and at participating businesses!
