GBA Annual Meeting -- In-person on June 29 at 5:00 @ Hawks & Reed

GBA Annual Meeting features our Mayor discussing the city’s recovery plans and yearly elections

GBA Annual Meeting is Tuesday, June 29 at 5PM @ Hawks & Reed

State and city regulations about meeting in-person have opened up and allow the Greenfield Business Association to move forward with holding our Annual Meeting in-person at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 29th from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. We are excited to gather at a location so central to the business and community culture of Greenfield.

Typically our Annual Meetings allow for a reflection of the past year, elections of board members, and sharing of plans for the coming year. While all of that will happen at this meeting -- it will also be an opportunity to reconnect as a business community after over 15 months of COVID. As such, we are opening the meeting to all businesses and individuals interested in attending.

There will be the opportunity for member businesses to pay their overdue dues, the new year (FY22) dues, or for businesses to become new members. Membership is not a requirement for attendance but is required to vote at our elections. All member businesses in good standing will receive one complimentary drink voucher (there will be BYOB for all others).

The business of the meeting will start promptly at 5:15 with a brief welcome by GBA Board President Mik Muller (Montague WebWorks). The Election of Board Members will be opened at that time as well. As per our bylaws, any GBA member in good standing can be nominated at this time. The election will include some current board members renewing for a term, potential new board members offered by the GBA board, and open nominations. Election results will be tallied after the Annual Meeting and announced at a later time. Only one person per membership in good standing can vote.

We are thrilled to announce that Mayor Roxann Wedegartner will be our Guest Speaker for the evening. The Mayor will share the City of Greenfield’s business recovery plans. We believe this is one of the most important topics confronting local businesses at this time.

At the close of the meeting, GBA Vice President Kriste Joy (Freedom Credit Union) will share some of the exciting programs and projects we are working on for the new fiscal year, including a new grant opportunity in partnership with Greenfield Savings Bank and an advertising video series for Greenfield businesses we are calling #DiscoverGreenfield.

We hope you’ll take the opportunity to join us on Tuesday, June 29th from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center for our Annual Meeting. For more information, email gba.4greenfield@gmail.com.
