Buy a Bee – Help us keep the buzz going!
Partner with the Greenfield Bee Fest Committee to grow our annual festival
Launched by Second Congregational Church in 2010 as a celebration of Rev. Lorenzo Langstroth’s 19th century invention of the modern beehive, Greenfield Bee Fest soon became an annual community-wide day of fun and learning – attracting professional beekeepers, bee enthusiasts, and families looking for kid-friendly activities. Though Bee Fest took a pause in 2020 because of the pandemic, it came buzzing back in 2021 with the launch of six new downtown Bee sculptures and select virtual events.
In 2022, Greenfield Bee Fest will start on May 7th with a freshening-up of the Bee Crosswalk on Court Square; continue with the opening of an art installation on World Bee Day, May 20th; and launch into full festival fun on May 21st.
Make honey happen downtown with a Lamppost Bee
Support this year’s creative projects, including children’s activities, art installations, Bee education, music, food and crafts, introduction of three new Bee sculptures, more involvement by area artists and businesses, and wider recognition with a lamppost Bee sponsorship. Help build Greenfield’s identity as a pollinator-friendly community alive with promise!
From May to September, lampposts throughout downtown Greenfield will be decorated with fanciful yellow and white Bees designed by Nan Parati, whose distinctive calligraphy you’ve also seen on our downtown holiday stars and the signs at Green River Festival.
Each sponsor’s name appears on a Bee that hangs from one of the lampposts. There are a limited number of Bees! While there is no official deadline to sponsor a Bee, sponsorship is first come/first served until we run out of Bees. You may choose to sponsor as many Bees as you wish.
$125 donation per Bee. All lamppost Bee sponsors will be listed on Greenfield Bee Fest's website: www.greenfieldbeefest.org
Sponsor 3 or more Bees and your logo will be included on the Greenfield Bee Fest’s website, with a linkback to your website.
Bees may also be sponsored by individuals and as dedications or memorials.
Other custom sponsorships are available; to learn more about possible ways to contribute, email Amy Timmins or call 413-325-5058.
