Green River Fest Weekend Promos

Two ways for your business to get involved

The Green River Fest returns to Greenfield this June 24-26 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. Once again, there will be a free bus from downtown bringing concert-attendees back and forth to the Fairgrounds throughout the weekend. People will be waiting for the bus, wandering downtown to and from parking, and maybe visiting Greenfield for the first time. It's a great time to run a special promo, sale, event or activity to bring people to your business.

There are two ways we can spread the excitement throughout Greenfield this year:

  1. the band & crew Swag Bag

  2. special weekend promos, sales, activities and mini-events

SWAG BAG

The team working backstage in artist relations will share any Swag Bag items—coupons, samples, sales—that businesses in Greenfield would like to put towards a sort of "Welcome Wagon" for the folks who come to perform at the festival. Greenfield is the perfect place to visit for supplies, goodies, or some freshening up after being on the road.

There are about 45 bands coming in for the festival--which adds up to about 250 musicians and crew. That’s a lot of additional people in and around Greenfield!! All artists and crew will receive a Swag Bag as part of their weekend introduction to Greenfield. This is fabulous promotion for your business and Greenfield!

Would you, as a business owner or manager, be interested in supplying a service, sample, or discounted item(s) for musicians and their crews? (Examples: 25% off the price of a haircut, an oil change for their tour van OR you could also supply a packet of throat tea, loaf of bread, a guitar pick, a candle--anything really.) Feel free to be funny or inventive in any way. If you can only offer a certain number of discounts/samples, feel free to make clear availability is "while supplies last" both in your response here and on any on-site promotion.

If you want to be included in the SWAG BAG list or with an item (coupon/sample), reply to this email by Wednesday, June 8 (5:00 PM) with:

  • Business name, address, and hours

  • What you are offering

  • How folks can claim the offer (good place to make clear “while supplies last” if that’s something you need to do)

  • Any COVID needs/restrictions/changes to normal business (masks, call-ahead, outdoor options

All items will need to be available for pickup by event organizers between 6/8-6/17 (or you might need to bring stuff to them yourself if you are late). If you have no "things" but just a listing is needed for the SWAG BAG then get the info emailed by 6/15.

WEEKEND PROMOS

Festival-goers, musicians, crew, and vendors will be arriving in Greenfield for this event—there will be folks camping at the Fairgrounds; staying in the area Airbnb, hotels inns, and bed/breakfasts—some coming in and out for a quick trip for the concert needing road snacks and fuel or looking for a restful stop before heading out of the city with a sit down meal and wandering to see shops, pickup something cute in a shop, see a movie to get out of the heat—who knows!! What we do know—there will be lots more people in Greenfield.

What do you want to do to make sure they visit your business? Weekend sales, promos, beer/wine tasting, feature local musical talent while serving up breakfast—be creative, be simple—do what highlights your place the best.

If you fill out this form electronically to be included in the WEEKEND PROMOS listing, we’ll get your promo/sale/etc for the weekend listed in a shared online site so folks can see what’s going on throughout Greenfield for the weekend. All info needs to be submitted by 6/15.

The city of Greenfield and GBA will help share and promote what you are doing—if you submit this form by 6/15. You don't have to be a downtown business—people will be using the usual roadways through the city to get to parking for the festival--passing businesses along the way.

Last year, the Green River Festival printed Pocket Schedules to help festival-goers know what's happening where and when—this year, there will be a direct link to Greenfield's visitgreenfieldma.com website where your promo will be listed.
