The 15th Annual Greenfield Bee Fest is on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 9:00 AM -12:30 PM on the Second Congregational Church lawn. Talk about business, did you know that Reverand Lorenzo Langstroth invented the moveable frame beehive, still used in agriculture around the world, right here in Greenfield?! AND wrote the literal (first ever) beekeeper's manual to boot. His invention changed beekeeping, farming, and the production and potential to sell honey, forever, putting Greenfield on the map of global agricultural entrepreneurship.
Visit Bee Fest to paint a hive, join the Pollinator’s Parade, play bee games, take a detour for the bee (sculpture) tour downtown, make a flower crown, learn about beekeeping & much more! With the Greenfield Farmers Market buzzing next door on Court Square, the annual Bee Movie at the Garden Cinema, and bee fest inspired specials, decor, and sweet treats around town, you'll be happy to flew in.
And it's not too late to become a Bee Fest Sponsor to help make it all happen!
From May to September, the lampposts throughout downtown Greenfield are decorated with the fanciful yellow and white Bees, displaying your business name or personal message for everyone driving and walking around downtown - including during the Franklin County Fair parade. It's a great way to show your support for your hive and show your Bee Pride!
There are a limited number of Bees, so don't wait!
