Make downtown bloom by sponsoring a barrel!
The Blooming Greenfield team is prepping for another season of beautiful flower barrels, downtown and around Greenfield’s business districts, and YOU can be part of this beautification effort:
Flower barrels are $75 each, and a great way to get a pop of color and activity in front of your business, or you can specify a location of your choice! Order your barrel(s) HERE.
Your sponsorship includes a barrel full of seasonal florals, sporting your business name/personal message, cared for by one of our Blooming Greenfield volunteers. Barrels are put out and planted over Memorial Day weekend, and will be maintained and watered through late September before being pulled in for winter storage.

As a direct result of the conversation we co-hosted with Mayor Desorgher, and the advocacy of business community stakeholders in the room, the Olive Street Parking Garage will be getting the first of two deep cleans between May 19 - 23, with different areas being taped off for cleaning throughout the week.
NOTE: Regular users of the garage who would like to avoid the area while the cleaning takes place are encouraged to use the Chapman-Davis Lot (next to the skatepark), which will have free parking for the duration of the cleaning. Other nearby on-street parking and parking lots can be found on the city’s parking map at greenfield-ma.gov/parking.
The City is also exploring improved lighting on the sidewalks exiting the garage as well as adding parking kiosks to pay for parking, alongside the Passport app, and the GBA continues to advocate for public art and other interventions to make the Garage more user friendly, safe-feeling, and easy to locate.
The top floor of the garage is free to park April 1 to November 30 and is closed in the winter due to inclement weather. And the cost to park in the Parking Garage is $0.40 per hour Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and is free at all other times, including the first hour. All details for the Olive Street Garage can be found at https://greenfield-ma.gov/

...and not just because of ALL the rain. A big shout out to our amazing Blooming Greenfield volunteers and GBA interns who came out to give the bees a good wash, hand out FREE Zinnias, and tell folks more about Blooming Greenfield's project and goals at the first outdoor Greenfield Farmers Market of the season! We had a wonderful time, despite the rain, and enjoyed seeing the smiling faces of the bravest Farmers Market attendees. We're New Englanders, after all! If we let a little rain keep us down, can we even call ourselves hardy?!
