Tuesday, September 23rd, 5:30 PM @ TBD High Street Location
Our September Roundtable focuses on the active High Street Corridor, bringing together business owners and stakeholders to discuss the district's needs, unique values, and potential improvements. The Greenfield Business Association's work is strengthened by the knowledge provided directly by the business community.
We hope you'll join us, whether your business is located in this corridor or not, for a robust discussion aimed at actionable steps and ideas that the GBA can support. We've had great success in business districts around town, and are looking forward to bringing the conversation to High Street!
*We also welcome resident groups and neighborhood stakeholders interested in talking about the businesses in the area, and providing constructive thoughts and feedback for the district.

Applicants whose projects are deemed eligible for CPA funding will be invited to submit a full application by Nov. 17, 2025.
Read more about the committee’s current Community Preservation Plan at https://greenfield-ma.gov/cpc.
If you joined us for any of the 'Take the Floor' Pitch Competition events this past spring and summer, you know that there are AWESOME ideas kicking around in Franklin County.
And if you've got one of your own, consider joining the Entrepreneurship Accelerator at the Franklin County CDC this Fall. Throughout the 10-week course, you will have the opportunity to take your idea from flash of inspiration to a fully formed business venture. From business plans to financials, branding to marketing, you can work through the steps in a well-supported environment, and get connected to mentors and service professionals to help with the next steps once the Accelerator has ended.
And who knows, with a boost of confidence and a clear business proposition, maybe it'll be YOU competing for that prize money next year! Hope to see you in class and on the stage.
Shout-out to our incredible community partner, Greenfield Cooperative Bank, for their amazing support of this Accelerator program!
Thanks to the advocacy of the Greenfield Business Association and Economic Development Director Amy Cahillane, the Mayor and City Council have approved a Parking Benefit District in Greenfield, which will leverage a percentage of positive parking revenue for downtown infrastructure, cleanliness, and beautification projects.
The Parking Benefit District is a great step for funds coming in to benefit the downtown core and create real, visible impacts in Greenfield. Decisions regarding funding will be made by a committee comprised of the Community and Economic Development Director, the Greenfield Business Association Director, the Recreation Department Director, and the DPW Director - to ensure that projects funded are not only impactful, but also sustainable.
The GBA encourages business owners in the downtown to communicate this beneficial development to their patrons, letting folks know that coming downtown and parking on the street and in the garage now means that part of their parking dollars are going right into a stronger, cleaner, more vibrant downtown. And who doesn't love that?! From public art to business signage, bike racks to bulletin boards - there are lots of possibilities for the funding, and more to come on this.
HUGE thanks to Mayor Desorgher and the City Council for seeing this Parking Benefit District idea through!
As he heads off to freshman year at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, we want to give a resounding shout-out to the GBA's inaugural Data & Content Management Intern, Zach O'Brien, who came to us through GCC. As a home schooled high school student, Zach completed his credits at GCC and worked with the GBA on multiple projects, including a wonderful video highlighting GBA Member testimonials, an awesome visual map of GBA Member businesses, and a HUGE amount of data cleanup and streamlining.
Congratulations, Zach, we wish you all the best at college!

If you have some business merch hanging around your office (or home), let us take it off your hands. We are restocking our GBA Member swag drawer here in the office, to have merch on hand to include in donation solicitations.
Interested in dropping off some merch or having us come by and pick it up? Email the GBA and we'll arrange the particulars!
FUN FACT: You do not need a permit in Greenfield to play on the street! Street musicians add a wonderful element to the downtown, and the GBA has a mailing list of musicians and performers interested in livening up the scene on key days and evenings during the Summer and Fall. Join the list and we'll reach out to suggest lucrative dates and events you may be interested in. While these are not compensated positions, buskers are encouraged to accept tips for their amazing contribution to the environment.
INTERESTED?! Hit the button below to join the Busker Mailing List and we'll keep you in the loop!
