As we push hard towards the next chapter for the GBA, increasing our impact across Greenfield and boosting our economic development efforts on behalf of our business community, this fundraiser is an invaluable swell to support our lifting of all boats. And we can't do it without YOU! There are many ways to get involved, and we hope you'll step in and have fun with us putting on an amazing show, sharing your story, and expanding awareness of the GBA's work and value to the ecosystem.
This year's show will feature numbers from JaDuke Theatre's Annie, Frozen, and Disney Class, as well as acts by colleagues from the non-profit sector, Greenfield Savings Bank, Greenfield Fire & Police, GBA Members like PV Squared, young professionals, and so many more. And YOUR business/organization can be featured too:
1. Consider PERFORMING, or nominating someone from your business/organization/company to get up ON STAGE! We are putting together acts from our business community members, and we guarantee there's one with your name on it. Rehearsals are on Sundays in January and February (skipping Superbowl Sunday, of course), and it is the BEST way to spend those cold winter sundays - dancing and laughing with friends and colleagues.
2. Consider SPONSORING the show! The JaDuke audience is vast, and pulls from all over Franklin County and the greater Valley. The Fundraiser is woven with acts from JaDuke's young artists and talented adults, and they bring audience members from all over. Put YOUR business/organization name in front of potential customers while supporting an amazing cause. With three tiers to choose from, sponsoring will feel like a gift that keeps giving through the coldest months.
3. Consider DONATING a Raffle Prize! From lottery tickets to date nights, JaDuke audiences LOVE a themed basket!! Prizes are announced at each show, and it's a great way to gift something and bring folks in through slower months of the business season. Get creative and reach out for ideas! We love helping you promote your business and this is a wonderful way to do it.
4. And of course, ATTEND a performance! Whether you're cheering for your boss onstage (if you can get them up there!) or supporting your brave colleagues, we guarantee that you know someone in the show!! Celebrate your fellow business and community folks by showing up, sending them candy backstage, purchasing raffle tickets, and having a grand time. What ELSE are you doing on those cold February nights?! Come 'Momentum' and chill with us at JaDuke!
And we'll have a special QUADRUPLE THREAT GRAND PRIZE drawing for those businesses/organizations that check all four - Performers, Sponsor, Raffle Prize Donors, and Attendees...STAY TUNED!!
Excited?! Ready to jump in tap shoes first?! Hit the button below to register, or email Hannah at the GBA to talk through your options.
It's that most wonderful time of year again when we all prepare for the flurry of snow, gifting, and warm celebrations, known as the Holiday Season. To get ready for it all, we here at the Greenfield Business Association like to focus our attention on lighting up Main Street Greenfield...and Federal and Bank Row, of course!
As in years past, starting this month the GBA grabs the belled reigns and organizes our non-denominational elves to deck the sidewalks with bows, garlands and twinkly lights on the lamp posts, bringing much needed good cheer to residents and visitors alike. The garlands go up in mid November and will remain up through February.
These efforts take time, energy, and a bit of coin to deck our streets with light and cheer, and the GBA appreciates all the businesses and families folks who come together and light up our little city! Those who sponsor the season's lights get a fancy, twinkly star with their name on it, hung with care. There are three levels of donation, starting at $100 .
This year, we are expanding the number of lit poles to 120, to extend the lights all the way from the YMCA to the new Fire Station on Main Street, and the Elks Club on Federal Street down to the John Olver Train Station on Bank Row.
So, help us bring good cheer to town, and get your star before they're all sold out!
We are excited to bring back the window decorating contest for JingleFest 2025! Stay tuned for prize announcements...
We've already seen the windows beginning to show signs of the season, and we encourage ALL businesses with storefront windows to get into the holiday spirit this year with some festive window displays. This year marks the return of the Downtown Window Decoration Contest, and we'd love to have YOUR business participate. Simply reply below and let us know that you'd like to be part of the contest and we will add you to the judge's roster! There will be a juried Grand Prize Radio Package from Saga Communications, as well as the People' Choice - voted on at this year's Jingle Fest Celebration on Saturday, December 6th.
And if you want a little extra decor for your windows, the GBA will be hosting two painting parties on Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd, giving out painting supplies to participating painters at 176 Main Street between 11 AM - 3 PM. Painters will be assigned a participating window or two, and will be arriving with everything they need to set up OUTSIDE your business and add a little merriment to the windows. Participating businesses will be offered simple designs to choose from (snowflakes, stars, etc), though you are welcome to provide your own ideas as well. We suggest having it be something simple that anyone can paint!
Register your business in this year's Window Decoration Contest below and we'll be in touch to firm up the details. With guest judges at the helm, and a People's Choice Award in the pocket, this year's contest is sure to be a fun, festive experience!
The GBA is accepting donations of (still good) interior latex paint. Please email Hannah if you have some you would like to donate!
Wednesday, December 3rd is Movie Night!
On December 3rd, bring 5 cans of food to donate and get a FREE ticket to the movie of your choice. A great way to gather food for your neighbors and enjoy a film at your neighborhood cinema.

FUN FACT: You do not need a permit in Greenfield to play on the street! Street musicians add a wonderful element to the downtown, and the GBA has a mailing list of musicians and performers interested in livening up the scene on key days and evenings. Join the list and we'll reach out to suggest lucrative dates and events you may be interested in. While these are not compensated positions, buskers are encouraged to accept tips for their amazing contribution to the environment.
